How to Make a Classic Knotted Bracelet with Happiness Wherever

I don't need to tell you #CraftyBs how much I love the idea of handmade gifts. With so much inspiration all over the web, it is easy to get carried away and overwhelmed (a common practice at Crafty Bs HQ). Handmade jewellery doesn't have to be over stated and Zen from Happiness Wherever is up next for #CraftyChristmas sharing how you can make this very classic looking bracelet very simply!

Christmas is round the corner and a lot of us are busy with our Christmas shopping. But as they say, the best gifts are handmade ☺ So here’s a simple, classic bracelet project- you only need basic plier skills and 5 minutes to whip it up!
What you need:
  • Thick metal chain, about 8 inches long
  • Clasp
  • Chain ending
  • 2 jump rings
  • Pliers
  • Headpin + pearl (optional – I think replacing the metal part of the chain ending with a pearl looks more professional but it’s a matter of personal taste ☺ )
Step 1: Tie a knot in the middle of the chain.

Step 2: Open a jump ring with the pliers and slip the clasp and 1 end of the metal chain through.
Step 3: Open a jump ring and slip the other end of the chain and the ending chain through. You can end the project here or to make it prettier, remove the metal part from the back of the ending chain and continue to step 4.
Step 4: Slip the pearl to the end of the headpin. Grasp the headpin right above the pearl and bend it to 90 degrees. Make a loop, slip the part from Step 3 on, snip off the excess wire then close the loop.

Ta-dah, all done!

I think this bracelet look fabulous! I would definitely wear it and be happy to receive such a lovely handmade gift. Thanks so much for sharing Zen.
