This however is not a whiny post! I love it.
I don't often have time to myself but I embrace the feeling of being overwhelmed. I can manage that emotion because although I'm doing a lot, I enjoy doing it. I'm ultimately a happier person. I hate being bored.
Here's a little look of what we have been up to this week.
On Monday, it was the last day of having our visitor here. I made the most of having an extra pair of hands for climby climberson aka Littlest B and I got started (and finished…I know; shock horror) on a craft project for a guest post I am doing in June.
A trip to Cardiff was on the agenda on Tuesday to take our visitor to the coach home. We couldn't not stop off for a quick coffee (ahem…and cake) and this fuelled me for a walk about the city running errands and picking up birthday gifts, supplies for another project and some Lego for another Lego Letter commission. Littlest B doesn't much like shops but he was well behaved and very patient. We made it back for school pick up and our regular tea, bath and bed time routine commenced followed by an evening of work.
On Wednesday, Littlest B and I went to the post office and the bank and to our local high street to find some cupcake cases for a special project. I also picked up some strawberries because they go like hotcakes in our house (they were gone by the end of the day). I then spent a few hours baking cupcakes for a wedding on Saturday, worked on a website for a client and did some other admin work. Thursday was spent working at home with Baby B until we had a let up in the evening with a little tea party for one of Baby B's friends!
Friday was spent doing more work, dusting sugar flowers, icing and decorating cakes (after a 'not enough icing sugar' drama) and preparing for another swimming lesson drama after school. Baby B has found his last couple of lessons a struggle after his first went swimmingly (he he); but there wasn't much point in worrying. After a slightly wobbly start he joined in. Phew! I managed 30mins of catching up on emails whilst Littlest B made a friend in the waiting area; and climbed on things.
The weekend has been a mixed bag with a wedding on Saturday and Sunday being spent doing housework and getting prepared for the week! I am hoping to get a bit more crafting time in this week and I have lots of pictures to edit for some upcoming posts!
What will you be working on this week? I would love to see your craft projects over on the Mrs Crafty B Facebook page.
