Re-Create Upcycled Plant Pots with Scraps of Fabric

Continuing with a bit of upcycling, here's a cute way to jazz up some simple plastic pots.

I found these plastic pots in abundance in a Scrapstore along with
some cut offs of some nylon material. I used a pinking rotary cutter to cut out a thick strip and a thin strip.

After attaching some double sided tape along the thick piece, I wrapped in around the pot ensuring it was fully covered. I then did the same with the thin strip in a spiral, leaving spaces to allow the base colour to peep through. Here is an example of the pot using bright yellow and red nylon and a second one using brown satin and a base and some pink linen as the 'spiral'.

I wanted to add a little embellishment to the pot so I used my Sissix machine to cut out some layered flower shapes in the matching materials, layering them up with a bit of double sided tape and a button on top. I decided they were perfect for the Mini Makers to plant, nurture and watch some little plants so here are our upcycled plant pots.
