After doing all of my Christmas based baking, I was putting away my big mixing bowl and I accidentally dropped it on our ceramic floor. I was not pleased. It was a very useful size for other things (such as proving pizza dough) and I was massively disappointed that I no longer had it. Although, silver lining, at least I'd completed my baking first.
Imagine my surprise when on Christmas Day, I was presented with the perfect mixing jug! It matches our intended kitchen colour scheme, is large in volume and I can't wait to use it.
There was a bit of a theme with some of my gifts this year. I also received a Cath Kidston spatula which is more hardcore than anything I've had before (and pretty) and I also received a Sophie Allport 'Busy Bee' apron which I've had my eye on for a while.
Once I've used these things to whip up a yummy bake, I also have some beautiful dessert forks from Marks and Spencer to dig in with.
My plan, after finding a good brownie recipe over Christmas, is to have a play with these by adding more yummy (bad for you) ingredients. Yummy Yummy!

I dropped my favourite glass mixing bowl a wee while back and i was devastated. It was perfect for letting the bread dough rise and for when i was batch cooking.
ReplyDeleteI feel ur pain!
The replacement is beautiful though :) very handy when pouring cake mix too ... never seen that before :)
Happy baking xxx
Oh my goodness! It's not not happy times is it?!
DeleteI can't wait to use the replacement although I might have to get another big one too ;-)
