Coffee, Cake and a Craft Fair

The last weekend of February turned out to be filled with friends, family, sunshine, coffee, cake and crafts. What more could a girl like me ask for? We headed down to a nearby town on Saturday for a crafts fair and there certainly was a lot to be inspired by.

How to Knit a Chunky Knit Scarf

In Autumn 2010, I started to knit a chunky scarf. On Boxing Day 2011, I finally finished it!
Knitting, Crafts
This scarf can officially go in my 'Completed Projects' list. For this oversized scarf I used big chunky wool and very big needles. It really is a monster but I'm very pleased with the result. The tension difference in my casting off to my casting on, shows the difference in my knitting ability in the start compared to the end. Knitting on the huge needles was a lesson in itself!

Crocheted Teddy Bear

This little fella was the first bear I ever crocheted. I used a pattern from Baby Knit & Crochet magazine (issue29).

Although you may not be able to see it clearly, the little heart on his chest says Max. It was a Christening gift for the first born son of some very special friends of mine and Hubby B's.

Crocheted Baby Rattle

When I was pregnant with Baby B, one of Hubby B's friends and his wife sent me a little gift. I decided to return this sentiment when I found out that they were due to have a baby. I crocheted this baby rattle for them.

Seeking a Past of Crafts: Digging out My Old Craft Projects

The little one has gone down for his pre lunch nap. I have dug out a few things and taken a few snap shots. Now, armed with a hot water bottle, (because the beautiful snow is making me cold), a bowl of homemade muesli (thanks hubby), and a huge mug of tea (of course), I am going to share with you what I have found.

Crafting a Daydream

I actually have a series of reoccurring daydreams. I’m feeling a need to start making them reality. I’ve lived my life up to now being a dreamer. Now I want to be a do-er. My new Ethos:

Don’t dream a dream. Live it.
